Wedding Tours are a new wedding show trend, giving couples a chance to view multiple venues in a city or area on the same day. For the recent Skagit Wedding Tour, I helped plan the decor at one of my favorite venues, Christianson’s Nursery. Our inspiration was a French Country Brunch, in shades of lavender and cream.
One of my favorite items to plan for a wedding is the dinning table. For this look, we chose to feature a rustic farm table and wooden chairs. The florals were a combination of potted lavender plants and urns overflowing with garden flowers.
The venue offers two ceremony locations, one of which was set in the historic school house. The front porch is the perfect location for an entry table.
The school house offers a perfect blank wall to create wall art on. This is one of my new favorite ways to frame a couple for their ceremony, with vines that look as if they are growing on the wall.
The other ceremony site was outside in the gardens.
Brides can get ready in the adorable teachers cottage. The porches are just perfect!
The gardens offer flower beds full of garden roses and perennials. Personally, I love to create seating areas with pillows coordinated to the wedding colors and design. And a few vases of flowers help coordinate the look.
Finally, I will finish by showing some of the yummy brunch treats we offered the tour guests. It was so hard not to eat them all!
