About Kelli Walker, owner of Country Bouquets

Having been exposed to gardening at a young age, Kelli has been growing and experimenting with flowers for 25+ years.  While working for a large perennial plant grower, she met with thousands of gardeners, garden centers, photographers and garden writers all over the US to discuss growing perennial flowers.  A highlight was the opportunity to speak at the prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show, arguably one of the worlds best flower and garden shows. She has grown a successful floral business, using locally grown flowers from her garden.  Now a stay-at-home mom of two young girls, she is focusing on growing her floral business into more weddings and class offerings.

Kelli gathers floral design inspiration by tending to her large flower garden in the fertile Skagit Valley.  Tending to the plants, she experiments with using plant materials not normally thought to work in arrangements.  Herbs are a favorite, as they add unexpected fragrance.  Having developed her floral style over the years, it could be described as French floral or vintage garden.  She uses vast amounts of seasonal foliage and flowers to create texture, depth and vivid color combinations in her designs.  As one recent audience member commented: Just when I thought you were done, you added more to it (the arrangement).  And it became even more beautiful. I have learned so much from you.
