Roche Harbor on San Juan Island is a truly beautiful location for a wedding. The weather could not have been more gorgeous, sunny with a gentle breeze. A true destination wedding, it was fun to see people from the ferry boat ride over in the morning show up at the wedding location as well.
The bride wanted to use seasonal flowers to compliment her wedding colors of purple and green. Her bridesmaids wore deep purple dresses, groomsmen in grey tuxes and her gown was white/ivory lace. We chose spring flowers that would be at their height of beauty during her wedding date in May.

The bridal bouquet featured peonies and sweet peas. Long streamers of satin and sheer ribbons added movement in the breeze.

Closer view of the bridal bouquet. The peonies were so gorgeous and smelled amazing.

Bridesmaid bouquets featured lilacs, garden roses and peonies. Green and white is my favorite color combination for wedding ceremonies. Classic colors that look great against any color of bridesmaid dress or church venue.

Close up of the bridesmaid bouquets. I love the spring green shade of the viburnum, so fresh.

Corsages featured garden roses and sweet peas.

Boutonnieres featured sweet peas and salvia.

The church at Roche Harbor, a vintage building with lots of charm and lots of stairs! The brides mom hung ribbons from the trees and railings that gently moved in the breeze. Lots of visitors to Roche Harbor stopped to admire and take pictures as they passed.

The view from the church doors of the harbor. What a great place to spend the day while working!

We decorated the altar railings of the church with flowers and vines, to create a spring garden look.

Other side of the altar, with a better view of the delicate white flowers. A very pretty way to soften a church's altar without creating huge floral arrangements.

Two wreaths were hung on the doors, to welcome guest to the ceremony. The brides mother created them with greens and I added the peonies and orchids.

The reception was held at the Pavilion and courtyard area. The colors purple and green were more prevalent here than in the ceremony. The bride purchased loose flowers from us, which friends helped arrange into her vases. The low arrangements were all one flower type in a vase, either lilacs, tulips, stock or viburnum. The tall arrangements incorporated all the flowers together.

The bride and groom had a sweetheart table set for them, at one end of the room.

The large fireplace was decorated by the bride with photos of family members wedding pictures. So many friends and family helped set up for the wedding, which showed me how much the couple is loved by all. It was a gorgeous wedding and I am so glad I was able to play a small part in it. All my love to the bride and groom!
