Favorite Fall Bouquets

With so many people looking for inspiration for their upcoming fall weddings, I thought it was a good time share some of my favorites.

Favorite Fall Bouquets

This is one of my all time favorite bouquets and color combinations.  Created in late September using garden flowers, it features dahlias, herbs and grasses. The colors this time of year are jewel tones, very saturated purples, oranges and golds.  A great color combination for a bride that loves purple, the orange flowers will pop against deep purple bridesmaid dresses.

Designed for a wedding in October, these bouquets incorporated the best seasonal flowers of fall. The bride wanted burgundy and orange toned flowers, to go with her burgundy bridesmaid dresses. The bouquets are almost monochromatic, but there is so much texture and depth provided by the various flowers and herbs.

Providing a more sophisticated feel, this November wedding featured various fall leaves and the colors cognac and champagne.  Using only roses and leaves, the roses really have a chance to shine. A collar of fall leaves gives the bouquets a nice finish, providing a nod to fall without going too over board.  The brides bouquet also incorporated ivory skeleton leaves, that add a nice airy feel.

Three very different looks for fall. I hope these bouquets give you the inspiration you need to help plan your own wedding!

Country Style Wedding in Blaine

I love when a bride gives me a few guidelines then lets me create.  The bride wanted a country feel, like the flowers had just been picked from the garden.  Her colors were white for the bridal bouquet and yellow with orange for the bridesmaids.  I had so much fun creating these bouquets, picking beautiful garden flowers and herbs from my garden.  Love how they turned out!

A bridesmaid bouquet is on the left and the brides on the right.  One flower the bride requested was lilies, used in all the bouquets.

Love how delicate and lacy the base flowers of the bouquet looked, letting the lilies shine as the stars. Some of the flowers used were Queen Anne's lace, oregano and salvia.

Bridesmaids bouquets were so cheerful and bright, just a delight to create.  Some of the flowers used were roses, salvia, grasses and helenium.  There stems were wrapped in burlap as well.

Also created for the wedding were boutonnieres and corsages for the bridal party and family.  Using roses and herbs in the three wedding colors, each one was slightly different to make them look unique.  Such a fun wedding to create florals for!

Flowers for Teachers - Peonies

This week marked the end of the school year for both of my girls. For teacher presents, I asked them if they would like to give a gift card for coffee or a flower bouquet.  They both chose flowers.  Yay, I am raising them right! What woman doesn't love to receive flowers?

Flowers for Teachers
First were the flowers for Teacher Denise and Teacher Cindy at Bethany Covenant Preschool in Mount Vernon.  They loved the flowers and Chloe was very proud to hand them the presents.  We will miss these lovely, caring teachers!

Chloe was very particular about what flowers she wanted, "the tall pink ones that smell good".  She was talking about the lupine, which does smell heavenly. Also included in the bouquets are peonies, mint, oregano and ladies mantle.  Ladies mantle is that perfect shade of lime green/yellow that works so well with flower colors.

Next were the flowers for Ms Rittenhouse and Mrs Mirante at ICRS in Mount Vernon. We chose blue and white flowers, the school colors. Both teachers know Ava helps in the garden, so they were very happy to receive flowers from her.  Ava was very sad to be leaving their class but Chloe gets to attend next year.  So we don't have to leave these great teachers just yet.

Isn't this white peony gorgeous?  So full of petals.  Also included were delphinium, oregano, mint, ladies mantle, star-of-bethlehem and love-in-a-mist. The blue and white color combination is a great one for spring, a nice change to the pink tones.

Though we are sad school is over for the year, we are so excited to start summer break. Now we just need warm weather to arrive and all the summer weddings.  Let the fun begin!
