Yellow, White and Grey Winter Wedding

Weddings near Christmas are so magical, full of family cheer and holiday decor.  This weeks wedding was no different.  Held at St Marys Parish in Anacortes, the bride had only a month to plan the wedding as her fiance was to deploy just after the holidays.  She did an amazing job pulling all the details together in such as short amount of time.  The wedding was beautiful!

The wedding flower colors were pale yellow and white, with the bridesmaid dress being grey. On the left is the bridesmaid bouquet and the right is the bridal bouquet, same style but different sizes. The yellow garden roses really made the bouquets gorgeous, so full and lush.

Here you can see the small daisy flowers (feverfew) better.  The bride really liked daisies and this size is perfect for bouquets.

Other flowers used were freesia and leucadendron. The freesia and garden roses made the bouquets smell wonderful.

Since the church was still decorated for the holidays, the bride only needed flowers for the reception tables.  She chose to purchase loose flowers, to create the arrangements herself.  Flowers used were hydrangea, paperwhites, feverfew, leucandendron and freesia. Placed in mason jars, they would add just enough to the tables to make them look beautiful.

Seasonal Deliveries To Local Businesses Ends for 2011

The season has come to an end for 2011 subscription seasonal deliveries. From May thru October, you can find me Monday mornings driving around Mount Vernon and Burlington, delivering flowers to local businesses.  As part of our subscription program, they receive fresh locally grown flower bouquets weekly or bi-weekly through the growing season.  Vases are re-used, saving them money and cupboard space.  Here are a few images of the last bouquets to be delivered this year.

I love creating these weekly bouquets! I get to walk through the gardens and choose flowers at their peak.  The selection changes each week, as do the colors.  I think that is one of my clients favorite parts, is seeing what flowers arrive each Monday.

Another favorite part of weekly deliveries is going with my daughters, who are 3 & 5.  They love talking with the people at each business, opening the doors for me, climbing the stairs, etc.  It is a weekly adventure that we all will miss!

Country Wedding in Acme, WA

I met Abby nine months ago at a bridal show, during the snows of January.  She stood out because she was looking for sunflowers, the cheerful golden flowers of warm summer days that I was dreaming of.  So different from the snowstorm outside.

Abby and Matt were married at his parents home in Acme, the most beautiful country setting I have seen.

Beautiful blue skies and the Twin Sisters in the background, the ceremony was held at the edge of a pond (far left).  It was a warm day, that is for sure, but well worth it after the cold summer we have had.

Abby's bouquet contained cream garden roses and peach/orange dahlias.  They really glowed in the sun shine. All flowers for this wedding were locally grown in Mount Vernon, WA.  By doing so, all the flowers are extremely fresh and picked specifically for this wedding.

Stems were wrapped in chocolate brown satin ribbon, that matched the table linens and other decor.

All the bouquets together.  The bridesmaid bouquet flowers included sunflowers, white dahlias, peach/orange dahlias and purple dahlias.

The ceremony arch was covered in flowers across the top. They were so bright and cheerful, perfect for a late summer wedding.  Flowers included dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, bells of Ireland, herbs and grasses. Abby took advantage of one of my bridal packages, which included the choice of a floral arch or two large floral urns.

The ceremony aisle was lined with shepherd hooks, holding vases filled with flowers.

Flower girl baskets were cute woven baskets lined with orange gingham fabric.  We created the toss petals using dahlias and hops.  The final mix reminded me of potpourri, perfect for a garden wedding!

I so enjoyed working with Abby and Matt on their wedding and appreciate being apart of this beautiful ceremony. Wishing them great happiness in their married life together.
