Blush Pink Wedding at Semiahmoo Resort

Beautiful, sunny day for a wedding at the beach! Semiahmoo Resort is a gorgeous location for an outdoor wedding, with sandy beaches and views that stretch for miles. The bride chose a color pallet of blush pink and cream for her summer wedding, with lots of roses and petals.

Corsages were wrist style, using rhinestone bracelets (can't see in this photo).

Arch held three large floral arrangements in shades of pink and cream. The arrangements were moved after the ceremony and placed on the head table as decoration.

After the ceremony and before the reception, the newlyweds took a horse drawn carriage ride.

How beautiful is this wedding cake? One of my favorites by far. Decorated with the same roses used in the brides bouquet.

The reception was held in the Pierside Room, over looking the ocean.  Long banquet style tables were used, perfect for a smaller wedding.

Each table received two types of flower arrangements: long gold vases filled with carnations and taller square vases filled with hydrangeas, roses and sweet peas. Rose petals ran down the center of the table. Gold toned candle holders added a bit of height but guests could still see over them.

A gorgeous day for a gorgeous bride and grooms wedding.  Wishing them the best as they start their lives as husband and wife!

Wedding Flower Styles 2012 - Part II

The second installment of photos from the floral demonstration in Seattle by designer, Susan Ayala. Since she showed us multiple trends throughout the day, I wanted to show you as many as I could.  Enjoy these beautiful floral inspirations!

A new idea for for mothers and grandmothers: composite orchid bouquet.  Could use instead of a corsage, it is a small bouquet they carry.  Very pretty with the wire and beaded leaf holder.

I am a sucker for pink tones!  This bouquet includes roses, peonies and orchids in shades of white, cream, peach, pink and purple.

The pink bouquet shown in a vase, added to the centerpieces for the same wedding.  Great way to add to your reception arrangements.  Love the use of the rosette succulents in the centerpieces!

Close up of the succulents and roses. The beauty of succulents is you can pull them out of your arrangements after the wedding and plant them.  They will grow and give you a great living reminder of your wedding.

This picture just doesn't do this white cascade bouquet justice. It was stunning! The base of the bouquet is composed of roses, gardenia, peonies, tuber roses and calla lilies.  The cascade is jasmine, orchids and calla lilies.  It was also dripping with strands of crystals.  A real show stopper.

They also displayed buckets of flowers from the flower growers, highlighting the best of their seasonal flowers.  I loved this bucket stuffed with proteas in shades of pink and yellow.  Wouldn't this make a great wedding color palette?

From another grower, showing the various shapes and colors of succulents. Loved the tight rosettes in the center that are tipped in pink.

This was another of my favorite buckets.  Full of gorgeous white/green  orchids and pink/white anthuriums. The cattleya orchids in the center of the bucket were stunning, with their ruffly edges. Really inspirational.

Hope you enjoyed viewing these pictures.  Please contact Country Bouquets Floral for a consult if you would like to discuss how you can incorporate any of these ideas into your wedding.

Wedding Flower Styles 2012 - Part I

Recently I had the opportunity to attend a great wedding floral demonstration in Seattle. The designer, Susan Ayala, showed us multiple trends throughout the day.  Here are the first set, for you to enjoy.  Maybe some of them will spark ideas for your own wedding!

This cascade bouquet of purple orchids and jasmine was stunning. Airy but structured, it would be beautiful for the bride who wants a stand-out bouquet.

Cute little arrangement of seasonal greens and a single rose. The butterfly makes it look like a miniature garden.

Cymbidium orchids are so popular, this bouquet has a slight cascade shape to it.  Loved the treatment to the handle, ribbon wrapped with pearls.

Loved the idea of adding crystals to your centerpieces.  With some candles below, it would be stunning!

For those who know me, I love branches.  Think this is my favorite arrangement, mostly because of the shape the curly willow provides.

For the bride who loves drama, this style was names vampire chic.

Another view of this table scape. The flowers sitting atop the tall silver vase are actually a bouquet.  Great way to incorporate your ceremony flowers into your reception design.

A trio of sunshine.  Love, love, love this color combination.  Showing three sizes of arrangements, to be used together or separately, depending on your budget.

I will post more images from this event soon.  It was an inspirational day for me and I cannot wait to start trying some of the ideas!
