Welcoming Spring Florals

The Spring flowers are blooming, finally!  Bright yellow narcissus and forsythia, white narcissus and snowbells and the green leaves of trees and bushes.  This pretty bouquet was made for a dear friends birthday, my sister-in-law.  Who doesn't need a bit of sunshine to brighten a gloomy day?  Enjoy!

Bellingham Bridal Inspirations Show 2013

Bellingham's Bridal Inspirations show just wrapped up with another great year of vendors and new brides.  This year our booth focused on the trend of white and blush tones, a very romantic look that we love to do.  Here are some images from the show:

We brought one of our pillars, used for ceremonies.  They are salvaged pillars from a craftsman style house that was being torn down.  Talk about a real vintage piece! The table was covered in 12 layers of tulle, in three shades.  When fluffed up, it gave a real etherial look to the table.  Would be great idea for a sweetheart table.

Our escort card display featured our business cards with an orchid for each guest to pin in their hair.  It was fun to look in the audience during the fashion show and see so many people with flowers in their hair.

A collection of vintage vases, cut glass and milk glass, were clustered to show the trend of using multiple vessels with small arrangements of flowers. Mercury glass votive candles added a nice warm glow.

The bridal bouquet, photographed the next day outside, was a very romantic style.  Using roses in white and buff colors, accent flowers in white were incorporated to add texture and fragrance.  The stems were wrapped in a moss green silk ribbon with a vintage bracelet wrapped around as a nice vintage touch.

I so love talking with brides at shows, when they are so thrilled to be newly engaged and just planning their weddings.  Everyone is so happy and excited to be there! Looking forward to a great wedding season helping many of these brides with their wedding flowers.

Orange and Turquoise Wedding in Seattle

When I first spoke with the bride, she wanted to create a fall-colored wedding when they were home for the holidays on Mercer Island.  Though turquoise, orange and brown are not the typical winter holiday colors, they were sure beautiful on a cloudy December day in Seattle.

The day may have been rainy but the view was gorgeous from the Mercer Island Beach Club.

The bride bouquet, featuring tulips, mokara orchids, stephanotis and carnations.

The mokara orchids always remind me of butterflies, maybe because the petals look like wings. The stephanotis blooms added a nice fragrance to the bouquet.

The bridesmaid bouquets featured tulips, alstromeria, roses and carnations.  The tulips were especially beautiful, showing a range of orange colors.

Aren't they beautiful, all lined up together?  Such a great color combination.

This is not a great photo, but gives you a general idea of the ceremony arch.

Eucalyptus garlands wrapped around the arch. A few flowers were added, but kept mostly natural looking.

Cocktail tables held small groupings of clementine oranges, greens and stephanotis blooms.   A great pop of color against the turquoise tables. They were my favorite part of this wedding.

The dinning tables were adorned with flowers of orange and cream in turquoise square vases. Oranges and blooms clustered around the base.  Again, the colors were vibrant against the table cloth color.

Congratulations to the bride and groom! Thank you for letting me help make your day so special.
