Wearing Flowers in Your Hair

1) The flower will be out of water, so you need to choose a variety that will not easily wilt.
2) You will be doing a lot of hugging, so you need a flower that is hardy enough to withstand being squished a bit.
3) The size of bloom matters. Not too large that it over powers your face and not too small that you cannot see it.
Flowers that I like to recommend to brides are orchids and roses. Both do well out of water, can withstand hugging (within reason) and come in a variety of colors and sizes. You can pinned them directly into your hair using bobby pins or have them attached to a hair comb. Here are a few images to get you started, provided by The Knot.
